Frequently Asked Questions

Can't find the answer you’re looking for?

We've shared some of our most requently asked questions to help you out!

How long will a personal injury claim take?

How long is a piece of string?  Every accident is different.  Every person is different.  Every accident is unique to you.  We will guide you through the process and keep you up to date with the claims’ progress to ensure you get the result you deserve in the shortest possible time, depending upon the circumstances.

My injury occurred some time ago, can I still a claim for compensation?

The general rule is that you have 3 years from the date of your injury within which to make a claim. If the accident involved a child, then the 3 years only starts to run from the child’s 18th Birthday. There are however exceptions to this rule, and it is always better to seek legal advice as soon as possible following any accident.

I am not even sure if I have a claim for compensation and wouldn't want to waste anyone's time.

Don’t worry. It is our job to consider whether you have a legal claim.  One call to us can answer your question.  We won’t mislead you, we will give you honest advice based on the information you provide.

How much compensation am I likely to receive?

We cannot tell you how much you will receive. No two cases are the same and the level of damages will depend on all of the individual circumstances but we will work with you to achieve the maximum level of damages for your claim.

How will my personal injury claim be funded?

Funding your claim is extremely simple and more importantly, we do not ask for any fees from you at the beginning of your claim.

We will, of course, deal with the funding of your claim on an individual case by case basis.  However, the vast majority of clients will benefit from a ‘no win no fee agreement’. Nothing is hidden from the client and we are always transparent in the way we operate your file on your behalf.

The majority of your costs will be paid by your opponent and any shortfall in those costs will be deducted from your compensation at the conclusion of your claim when successful.  The costs will be outlined at the beginning of your claim so that there are no surprises.

If you feel you may have a claim, our team of highly experienced Lawyers will be happy to deal with your enquiries and, if they think you have a real claim, they will advise you and guide you through the process, ensuring that you have not only accurate advice, but also an efficient service.

Our Lawyers have extensive experience in not only road traffic claims, but also slipping and tripping, accidents at work and other issues which can give rise to injury and loss.

Before accepting a solicitor nominated by your car or household and contents insurer, give us a call. It won’t cost you anything to do. We can act under a Conditional Fee Agreement, which is similar to a no win, no fee agreement.

Do not hesitate to contact us on 01257 686386.
